There's SO MUCH information about the COVID-19 virus out there and it can feel a little overwhelming trying to predict what will happen next. We, here at the SHARE! program, are working hard to tune in every day, stay on top of the latest guidelines from the government and think of new and innovative ways to keep you (host families, local coordinators and students) safe and comfortable. We've also been in close contact with the U.S. Department of State, working together to run a smooth program through these turbulent times.
What does that mean for the incoming students, host families and EPCs? As far as the ‘20/’21 high school exchange program is concerned, it's GAME ON!
We're working hard to match students with the perfect families, just like we do every year.
We're hiring and train new EPC's in the field, just like we do every year.
We're accepting student applications and distributing them to our field staff, just like we do every year.
We are SO excited to welcome the new class of ‘20/’21 students in the fall, and are working toward that same goal of a greater understanding of each other's cultures and diplomacy. Just like we do every year!
So, If you've ever considered hosting, this is your year! Same goes for working as an Exchange Program Coordinator. We need you, your family, your generosity and your American spirit. We are patiently waiting for the world to open up again and we'll be there to welcome it back when it does!
